What game in history have you played the most?

So I was looking back through my playtime of Steam/Origin/Uplay game times to see what I have sunk the most time into and surprisingly, it is Elite Dangerous (and by a fair margin (9 weeks - 17 Hours)) but I remember losing so much time on the original Civilization on the Amiga and I would bet money that it far surpasses my ED playtime.

Other mentions has to go to Mario kart on the SNES (Me and my Mrs played that religiously for what seemed like ever) Elite on the C64 when I was a nipper, BF3 and The Division.

What is your most played game/s on any platform?

I think Quake 2 I probably sunk the most hours into of anything - I got quite into the modding side of it as well* as multiplayer (I easily surpassed 4000 hours of just duelling on The Edge maps).

* I have my own pet project that combines persistent RPG elements with the game (kind of collision of left 4 dead, guildwars and quake) and an extensive world in the style of the original game.

I dont have the exact figures but it 100% will definitely be an MMO. Thousands and thousands of hours over the course of years and years.

For me, it was World of Warcraft which went over a thousand. I find that my Steam hours on games never seem to be able to match the game hours I had when using XFire.

On Steam, with 283 games. My most played is Civ V at only 95 hours.

Probably EVE, have been feeding that particular addiction since 15th April 2008. Although I do have just over 5000 hours on Guild Wars, nearly 2000 on Guild Wars 2 and God knows how many on WoW before I quit.

EverQuest took thousands of hours of my life!

I dread to think how much time I sunk/wasted in Eve and I'm only a 2009-2015 player.

In recent steam years its Oblivion at 200+ hours.

In pure time played WoW but most of that was spent afk as is Wow, actually actively playing a game it would be Counterstrike but most of that was before steam came out so i wouldnt know how much time that was exactly.
