So until about 20 minutes ago I was happily running a Corsair MP600 1Tb drive, bought just over a year ago and now gone the way of the dodo...

I'm now in need of a replacement, I should be able to RMA the above but god knows how long that'll take and I'd thought a couple of times of upping it to 2Tb so why not :p

So what drive to buy, thinking Sabrent Rocket 2Tb but not sure... There's way more Gen4 drives than a year ago, and obviously there's the whole manufacturers changing the BOM every 5 minutes so who knows what you'll actually get.

But any standout options?

There's so little difference between I'd go mainly or price (ignoring the SN750 SE and similar half baked drives). SN850/980 Pro/Firecude 530/WD P5+ are good.

I got a 980 Pro last month, can't tell a jot of difference from the 960 Evo it replaced.

That's kinda the same impression I was getting trying to read around...

So went for an SN850, same price (for 2Tb) as the Sabrent Rocket 4 Plus, so basically flipped a coin :p

I don't really expect any performance increase (obviously...) but mostly just don't want to wait for the RMA on the MP600, impatience is expensive

I've got a WD sn850 1tb on the cheap...just replaced a Corsair mp510 960gb. As minstadave...not a lot of difference on real world usage.
I basically only "upgraded" because it would only cost me £20 between buying the sn850 and selling the mp510

The SN850 is a solid drive. No worries there.
