What GFX card and settings do you use on BF3?

Whilst we are here showing our fps, what do peeps take as acceptable?

On my 120hz monitor, I love to see it go into the 90's/100's but in honesty, anything over 45fps I am happy with.

60fps is a pretty good aim point, below 40 and it gets noticable to me even without stutter, but usually if a card is around 40 it also suffers stutter

I get 50+ with my current card and I'm happy with that - SLI was overkill at 80+

I run tend to run VSync on at 60hz and it doesn't dip much below that

I used to have a 120hz monitor but a) active 3d gave me a headache and b) I didn't really notice any difference in smoothness between 60 on my big TV and 120 on my PC

looking at either 1600p or 3 screen 1080p but can't quite make my mind up which one to go for

heres what i use on a 5870,fps range from 40-65+ around 55 on operation guillotine,

I appreciate your honesty, a lot of people on this forum would have deliberately left that part out.

I have seen it hit 25fps in such situations but it lasts a couple of seconds when i either get shot and respawn somewhere else or i dont get shot and run through it til i'm back in the butter. I think this was on a B2K map, only happened a couple of times (but then my playtime is limited :(

Ditto.

More is deffo better. It is nice to see as low as a 512MB card copes still with a very good frame rate.

From a different thread a guy stated that 1GB VRAM cards would not be able to run it.

Way to miss the point.

That guy said that a 1gb card did not have enough vram to run the card on ultra with any FSAA. That guy was then told that he was wrong.

Had you read the opening post and not charged in like a bull in a china shop you would have seen the settings posted.

And of course the method being used to run into the vram error.

And then understood it all instead of taking it all personally and thinking it was another Nvidia bashing thread.

All high settings, 2x AA

Using CF 5770s and the spec in my sig. FPS can vary widely depending on what is happening from 20-50. I've just learnt to deal with it :P

borderline personal attack

Andy, you've got your thread, greg has his, he honestly just wants to ascertain what cards people are using for what settings

on another thread you did state that a GTX285 could not play BF3 AT ALL which seems like bs to me and several other people have said they have that or similar cards and can play BF3 on low settings

4870 512mb @ 1280*1024 (cant game in widescreen it does my head in) everything low except mesh gets around 40-60fps, do get some drops to about 30 though. Rest of the system is an e8200 @ 3.2ghz and 8Gb ram (no real difference from 4gb, which I was using until recently, but I turned off the page file with 8Gb and it is smoother)

i7 920 @ 3.8
7970 @ 1100/1500
1920 x 1200
All Ultra I'll get 50-100+ FPS depending on map.

The 7970 seems to really like CPU frequency, I got lower scores before I put the OC back on.

Settings im running.

Spec in sig with 2x gtx 470's at 750/1500/1674. Fxaa injector running as well, i was averaging about 80fps but since just before the latest patch im seeing drops to 60 or a bit lower. Vram use at 1200mb, think i may have a problem with one of my cards. The game seems a lot worse since i moved the system into a new case last week.

I just done a vid with fraps but man it cripples the fps...Anybody know of something else that records gameplay?

Edit:

Meh lol. Forget that, I was recording in 3D :D
