What goes, 'screeeeeeeeecchhhhh.......BANG' ?

I feel sorry for the everyone else (truck driver, road cleaners, other drivers) but the Golf driver lol

Imagine if the back of that truck was dropped, he would have flew through the cab and clean to the other side!

Looks like he was going way too fast for the road judging by the skiddies.

Failing to see how it is "chaved up" or a "shed" though

look at the ebay advert half way through this thread, bumperless intercooler, excessively tinted windows have all been invested in when clearly an ABS pump would have been a bettter route for his cash :p

Would ABS have stopped him before the truck do you recon, or was he going too fast for that?

well the entire time he was skidding he was basically not slowing himself down (for all intents..), ABS would have stopped the skid and re-applied the brakes gaining traction till the point the car lost it again, rinse repeat

so I reckon it would have prevented it 100%, but I'm a sucker for depending on technology :p

Fully locked up, your braking is about 30% less effective. He certainly would have taken off a LOT more speed even if he still hit the truck.
But one of the biggest advantages of ABS/not locking up is that you are still able to steer rather than heading dead straight into the object as this moron did! Assuming the road was clear to the right, he might have also been able to swerve around the truck.
