What got you into it??

Doom shareware version on floppy disk back in god knows when. Just checked , that was 1993. So that's 17 years ago, how time flies. Though I started gaming itself in 1980 on a vic 20.

Playing on my Dads acorn computer thingy.

Repton and Chuckie egg were and still are amazing games.

Monkey Island was the first game I remember playing properly. Actually..saying that, I had one of the earlier versions of packman, so that might have got me into it.

It was on a 286 PC with a huge 5.25 flimsy floppy drive, cant remember the name of the game(think it was paratroopers or some thing like that) but it was about shooting some ppl dropping from planes with parachutes. You have to shoot them all with a cannon at the bottom of the screen(mono chrome). If you miss too many of the they will blow up the cannon!

Got my first PC in '97-'98 and a mate said Command & Conquer was good, he wasn't wrong. I had dreams of that voiceover "unit ready".

Dune and then Ultima online, then ultimately Half-life hooked me onto FPS's and CS and it all goes wrong from there... :)

I got into pc gameing when i saw my neighbour playing Quake 2 after they built there first pc back in the day. At the time i had no idea you could build your own pc etc it was awesome.

I do often fall out of love for PC gaming.

I'll either play an old favourite or a new game will take me again and I'm back in to it.
