What GPU ?

Hi guys im struggling here , you see i really want this card but i just want to finish my build as i feel its overdue now.
what alternatives do i have ? do i buy the stock OC it then add a waterblock ?
I heard somehwhere on some GPUs if you take the casing off that it voids the warranty ?

Maybe i should have mentioned my MB, i have the NVIDIA EVGA 790i SLI, im not entirely sure if that makes a difference but i was going to have SLI set up in the future.

Well if you want SLI then go for the 280. Personally I don't see the point, the 4870X2 is a stonking card and by the time it is lacking in power there will be something else along.

AFAIK only EVGA allow you to replace the stock cooler under the warranty so either go for them or get the pre-WC BFG. EVGA also do a WC version as well.

EDIT - Can you even WC an X2 yet?

if your going SLI i suppose you don't really need to overclock as much as you would if you didn't SLI so just get one by EVGA or BFG.

or as said above a 4870 X2 currently kills all nvidia
