Hello.

Im wondering what gfx setting oblivion will play on, on these specs.

2 GIG Memory

Leadtek Winfast A400 TDH geforce 6800 unlocked to GT (16 pixel pipleines)

Thanks mates!

Low I'm afraid. The CPU, despite the fact it is quite fast, is a celeron - so that speed means nothing in terms of gaming power.

Secondly, the video card isn't that good either I'm afraid. Not for Oblivion.

It's a big step up from the 9550 he's been trying to run oblivion with previously.

No idea what kind of detail settings you're going to be able to run, but it should run in low detail a lot lot better to start with. Just build up the graphics details until it becomes too jerky for you.

Okay, I am coming into this post 'fresh as'. I don't know anything about previous information! I am just giving my view on the GFX card.

I have an unlocked 6800 and it plays Oblivion fine at 1024x768 2xAA. A 16 pipe 6800 is pretty powerful still - Oblivion is the only game that has made mine struggle a bit.

id guess the CPU would still limit you greatly, though im running on min at 1280x1024, can run with bloom but outdoors gets just a little bit slow hehe, no AA of course and vsync on, still have all distant renders on though, so maybe not quite min

im using a 256mb 9800pro with p4 3.2 and 2gig of RAM if you need a measuring stick

I have a no prob with my 6800 card it's a GS XXX that only has 12 piplelines and can run the game well.

Grass distance turned off. This is so I can see dropped items after a kill.
HDR and Bloom off
Res set to 1280x1024
AAx2
Grass shadows off
self shadow off

Everything else is maxed

My CPU is AMD64 [email protected]

Well I have a AMD3800 2gig Ram and a 6800GT clocked to Ultra. I can't have everything maxed but the sliders are a fair way to the right. Everything looks great and it plays smooth.

Mind you that is at 1024 x 768 atm as I only have a 17in CRT. Am getting a 20in TFT widescreen in a few weeks - might notice a drop in performance when I have to ramp up the ress. Not that it will make much difference to the interface as the menu windows remain the same size - wtf?!?!

Dude, keep the effects on, like grass and the like, for this game as it really does make a difference to the atmosphere of this game. There is nothing like being attacked by a wolf or bear you couldn't see cause of the tall grass, makes your reactions really come into play - something novel for an RPG.

I have a 3.2 ghz P4, 2gb RAM and a x800pro@16 pipes. I run it at 1920x1200m its jerky, but it looks so pretty :D

Since playing the game for the first time I get sparklies in some games so i've had to underclock my gfx card!

Good excuse to upgrade, if I wasn't a poor student. D'oh!
