What graphics card for aging pc for PUBG?

It's been a long time since I last posted here as I've not played games for about 3 years. Now my mate wants me to play Players Unknowns Battleground. I see my graphics card is about a minimum requirement but it looks like the rest of my PC is ok (specs in signature). So what would you suggest for about £100 second hand? My monitor is a 24" 1920x1200 Res and I want to stick with Nvidia.

Don't jump in too deep. PUBG runs like pants on most setups due to it being so early release.

I'd say this is a good place to start (TL;DR Put everything to low)

Followed that and my frames went from an OK 70-80 to 120-130 in game, it's a weird one as usually your preference is get everything as high as possible, PUBG is push everything low.

Cheers for the link! That's interesting, yeah not going crazy on a new card, just a bit of an update. Hopefully it will get optimised more.

Up your budget for a 970/390?

I can't really, not got much money and have to buy a new sound card too after mine died.

I have a fully boxed (evga - transferable warranty) 1060 3GB spare I was going to chuck on ebay this weekend. Willing to put it up on MM for £165 including. It plays PUBG very well at 1080p but I now have a 1440p 144hz monitor so upgraded.

Cheers for the heads up but I don't think I can stretch to that amount.

I've been looking at benchmarks and I see that a 970 & 1060 3gb are the minimum I should really be looking at. I originally thought I had a GTX 660! So my current card is better than I thought (yes I know it's in my signature).

I'd save the pennies to be able to afford a gtx 970 before spending anything on something. AFAIK nvidia far out performs amd in pubg.

Have you factored the resale value of your 670 into your budget?

I think that's what I will do, or wait until the next gen Nvidia cards are out and then pick up a second hand 1060. Not factored in the resale value as I thought my card wouldn't be worth much these days.

I'll keep an eye out for a bargain and if something comes up then I might upgrade. Otherwise I'll try and stick with what I have until cards fall in price more.
