I am thinking of getting a new graphics card but I don't know what to choose. I have looked at the GTX 660, HD 7850 and the HD 7870. Is there any other good gpu's for £200 and under.

My specs are:

i5 2500k
Gigabyte Z68MA-D2H-B3
XFX 550 Watt PSU
8GB Ram

I'm going to get a new monitor as well resolution will probably be 1980x1200 because the one I have at the moment is not very good. I will probably not overclock.

7870 then, its already clocked reasonably well.

While the 7850 represents great value (it was better value but price increased recently) don't discard the 660. A benchmark was shown on this forum yesterday showing how the 660 beat the 7850 in 90% of the tests and if you play any game with PhysX, you get that with any Nvidia card.

The 660 is also a decent card for him as he won't be over locking. If not I would try and get a boost edition 7950, perhaps the HIS version. A 7950@950 MHz is way faster than a 660, its whether or not the OP can stretch to it. It would be worth it with that 2500k :)

Get yourself to OCUK tomorrow for the £200 7970?

If thats not a possibility, there is a MSi HD7950 for £230 (or was it £240), with 6 free games.

Yes, decent price and game bundle on the 660. The price increase on the 7850 means it is not such an easy choice anymore (unless you are overclocking). As you are not over clocking, I would go for the 660

Crazy upping the price tbf. The 7850 is a great card but I find it hard to recommend when I know how much it was/could be.

True :(

Still the best choice at that price level for the overclocking connoisseur though ;)
Don't know why they have increased the price, maybe production is slowing down.

In other news, looks like nvidia made massive profits last quarter

Looks like the voltage locking and people not being able to Malstyle break them so easily is paying off. I would have thought sales would be poor because of the AMD pricing. More to them than just GPUs though.
