Hello all, I am desperate to upgrade my graphics card but wanted some advice on what i should get. my budget is around £300 but i could go over.

Currently i am running a Nvidia GTS 250.
asus p6t mother board, quad core i7 920, 12 gigs of ddr3 crosshair ram, and i think my power supply is around 650w.

I play Rift, cod, crysis and many other games on PC some of them i can push at running in "Ultra" but sometimes suffer on frame rate.

I also do a lot of HD video editing and some visual effects work on after effects and 3DS max, but for this rig, my main use is gaming.

so i would like to hear your thoughts on what i should upgrade to!

am also willing to upgrade power supply if need be!

Cheers

I would say that the GTX 480 is the best card.
6950 is still a good card but with the 480 at this price that would be my choice.
For xfire, two of the 5850s on offer should beat most single cards.

Thanks for quick responses!

Just wanted to add, I want to be able to run any game at full speck without suffering on frame rates, will these all achieve this?

Thanks
