what graphics card should I buy for my computer?

I cannot make anything out on the label on either photo. However, what I also do not see are GPU power cables. So the best GPU possible is going to be a Geforce GTX 1050 Ti.

I can see that that is an Asrock motherboard, but cannot make out which one. If you can tell us the exact model then we can recommend a CPU upgrade.

It says on the back it's AC/220V in terms of power supply.

its the label on the side thats needed the wattage etc. however i expect its unbranded since i cant see the manufacturer

I didn't see any wattage labels inside. I don't want to take it all apart because I'm no computer expert by any means so I'm worried I cant put it back together again.

GPU first, CPU second. The list of supported CPUs is here. Note that you may require a BIOS update for later CPUs. This is easy to do, so ping us if you need help.

It looks like you have a AM4 mobo and that supports new Ryzen CPUs with a new BIOS (here https://www.asrock.com/MB/AMD/A320M-HDV/index.asp#BIOS).

You can either buy this:

And you will get a decent CPU and GPU upgrade for not a lot of money.

Or go for something like this:

There is no point in buying the AMD Ryzen 3 1200. It costs the same as the 2200g and it is slower. Yes, the 2200g has integrated graphics but still a fine CPU by itself. This will cost you a bit more but the 570 is a lot more powerful than the GPU included in the 2400G.

I actually have the same question for both of you. Is it worth me getting someone to install it for me because installing a CPU looks extremely difficult. I'm definitely going to buy one of these graphic cards.. but I'm a little overwhelmed at which one.

Also, my friend told me that DDR5 graphic cards will not work on DDR4 computers.
 
Installing a CPU these days is very easy but if you have never done so I would recommend to pay somebody to do it (and you can watch him/her) so you learn how to do it.

DDR5 graphics card will definitely be compatible with your system, don't listen to your friend, but Quartz has a good point about your PSU, if you want to run the AMD 570 (which is superior to the 1050Ti) you will need to buy a better PSU.

Where can I go to pay someone to come to my house to fix it? I hope that's not a long shot.

Which graphics card would you recommend with a new PSU and which would you recommend without changing it? And is the difference big enough for the games I want to play (I listed them in page 1)?

Depends where you live. Your best option in terms of cost, time and practicality is to take the pc to a pc hardware shop or repair centre and ask them if they would be willing to install the cpu. They may do it for free or more likely charge you for their time. Its an easy job.

Thats assuming you don't have a mate that can do it for free. I suggest you don't ask the mate that told you ddr5 gpus wont work with pcs that contain ddr4.:p
 
Just to add ... dont forget an SSD. if your using an HDD only, should consider at least a small one for windows

Haha, I don't have a car so I cannot really take it anywhere unfortunately. Also, my friend works for a company that does game trading and computer fixing so that's why I took his word for it. Actually, he also told me I could run Doom just by upgrading my graphics card and nothing else.

Is an SSD required? Also, I think today I will just buy a graphics card just so I have one. Is there any I can buy now that can run all the games on my steam?
 
an SSD is not required. but its the single biggest thing you can speed up a PC, and i would not do the upgrades you plan without adding one in , ive added together everything people have suggested so far..

The above is good, I would get an 8GB 570 for an extra £9 but it is a solid spec and will play all the games in your Steam library.
 
If you want a supercheap upgrade though upgrading to an AMD 2400G to start with will play all the games you have in your library (some of them at 720p some at 1080p) though.
 
I really don't know how to install things and like I said, I got no way to bring my PC to places unless I get my friend to come to my house and install it all after I purchased it.

I will ring my friend when he finishes work and ask him if he can install a SSD and a new power supply, if he can I will do those but if not I will just get the " Sapphire Radeon RX 570 Pulse 4096MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card".

Is that fine or am I missing something?
