what graphics card should I buy for my computer?

i would worry that the CPU have would be a complete bottleneck and not getting the benefit of the new Graphics card. Also remember the point of the SSD id to reinstall windows (10) on the SSD

I would not buy the GPU by itself, it would massively bottleneck. If you want to do a cheap upgrade just upgrade the BIOS and get a Ryzen 5 2400G. It comes with decent integrated graphics which will let you play a lot of games at 1080 and all of them at 720p.

No, don't get that GPU. Your PSU doesn't appear to have the power cables for it. Without replacing the PSU you're limited to the GTX 1050 Ti.

I do concur with the other comments about the SSD.
Will buying that improve my computer performance or allow me to run things faster or should I just wait and buy all this stuff together? Like, what would you do if you wanted to play Dota 2 primarily and occasionally other things?

I'm quite tempted to buy a power cable as well, this is going to be a lengthy discussion. I'm just worried i cant replace it.

I would just get a new Ryzen 5 2400G CPU, it will give you a boost across all scenarios and will provide you with a decent foundation if you want to upgrade to a GPU later on in the year.

I mean, it won't be as good as a separate GPU, but your CPU is so poor that it will bottleneck you really badly. Better to get a decent CPU with a decent APU and then you can upgrade from there.

I would say though, you only have one DDR4 DIMM. I would get another 8GB DDR4 dimm of the same type so you get the Dual Channel advantages.

No, just get another 8GB of the same type you have so they work on dual channel, it is better (faster) to have 2x8GB than 1x16GB.

Of course. But the other upgrade course will cost him far more money.

Personally I would go the way of new CPU, new GPU, another stick of RAM, an SSD and a PSU. Should come in under 500 or thereabouts but it is up to him.

I would personally do this:

My basket at Overclockers UK:
Total: £348.03 (includes shipping: £11.10)

Get that, and then buy a decent 550W PSU for £60 (can't really see any at Overclockers in stock atm) and an 8GB DDR4 dim to pair with your other DIMM for £50 or thereabouts, check what you have and buy another one of the same so they can run in dual channel.
