Firstly, sorry if you see a lot of posts by new members asking this question, i looked elsewhere on the forum but couldn't see anywhere else to ask.

I've had my current graphics card for a long time now and upgraded other components but never the graphics card. I've bought the new Sim city game and it gives me a warning message saying my card may not be able to cope before launching the game. I would like to be able to play this on high-end performance and would like to start playing games the like of cod modern warfare & far cry on high settings. I usually play counter strike source and avg around 50/60fps

My current PC spec is as follows

Gigabyte Z68MA-D2H-B3 motherboard
Intel Core i5 2500k @ 3.30ghz (socket 1155)
4GB (2x2gb) Corsair Memory DDR3 1333 Mhz Dual Channel ram
ATI radeon X1900 graphics card 512mb
(from memory 650 watt psu)
Seagate 1TB SATA 3 (7200rpm) hard-drive

My budget varies really which i know isn't helpful ha. I would like to spend around £80 to £100 but if there is something that will fulfill my needs for cheaper I'll look at that too. I don't need a high-end card, just something decent enough to play newish games on as mentioned above. Thanks to any-one who helps in advance

Any of the cards that Arc@css mentioned would be a cracking upgrade from your ancient X1900XTX! although I'd try and push for at least the 650Ti.

My Father recently purchased an EVGA 650Ti SSC and I've got to say it's a pretty capable card considering the price, although he does game at 1680x1050.

At 1080p the 650Ti still performs well in the majority of games, according to the 'reviewers' and in CS I should imagine you'll easily double the fps you're getting now!

What resolution are you gaming at by the way?
