What Graphics Card?

hi guys

just got my yearly bonus and now want a new graphics card i have got a xfx 5870 and i am just wondering whats the best graphics card

What's your spec and resolution?

The fastest single gpu cards are the Nvidia gtx680 and AMD 7970, with the 680 being the overall winner. The fastest current graphics card is the gtx690 (2 x 680's).

Single card: GTX 690

Otherwise a GTX 680/HD7970

with that budget why do you even need to ask, just get 2 680's and you'll still have plenty of change.

+ get some more ram. would be insane IMO to be running £1450 worth of GPU power + an overclocked 2600k with 4gb of ram

I would probably buy a single gtx 690 with that amount of money, rather than buying two gtx 680s.

why? I thought general consensus was that its better to spread the heat load of 2 GPUs over 2 boards / coolers than 1?

ummm yep. but 2x 680 and 1x 690 = the same heat, expect on the 690 you only have one cooler to deal with it....
