Hi fellas,
Building a new system.

Do you reckon I can get away with 8gauge on the following, length will be over 5 to 6 meters.

- stereo amp @ 2 x 100wrms
- Mono amp @ 1 x 500wrms

Aye, I decided on 4 in the end :/

First big purchase made for my system. One per month for the next 2 months and I'm sorted :)

Hehe sounds good. I'm doing an install in my 200 at the moment:

JL C5-650 up front
2 x JL 10w3v3 in the boot
Audison SRx3
Alpine IDA-x305
Fully Dynamatted / Overkilled / Dynaxorbed

Not sure how it will look once I've done it.. this is the first time I'm attempting an 'install' over just bolting everything down to a piece of MDF in the boot :p.
 
Very nice bud! I can't afford anywhere near that spec level.

I'm just deciding on how to do the boot build, as I want a tuned cab but love the prospect of getting to grips with some serious fiberglassing :) Throughout all modification to the car the theory has been 'factory-fit' so whatever I do needs to be subtle yet astounding :)

Are you soundproofing the entire chassis? Please tell me you're doing a build log, as I'd love to be logging at the same time as someone else :)

Not soundproofed the entire chassis yet.. just the boot and inner and outer door skins. Don't want to add too much weight to be honest. Might change my mind when I'm finished dependent on how it all sounds.

Not done a build log sorry! I can never be bothered to keep things like that going, ending up doing a full days work and realising I didn't take any photos! :o.

Will get some photos up when I'm finished though (hopefully after bank holiday :) ).
