What happend to Bullet Physics.

Imo the biggest reason is Performance, Lets take the tower for eg the tower falls every object is tracked if effects everything ti hits + then those objects are tracked +the objects those hit and so on,Ripple effect ontop of already running the game..
FPS imo would often drop punters would moan and call it un optimised rubbish.
Do i like physx etc yes, but i also see why devs A dont use it and B its extra time which would put the cost of making a game up

Worth noting here I have seen loads games over the years for ps3 with Bullet logo on the back of the case..

Erwin Coumans, its main author, worked for Sony Computer Entertainment US R&D from 2003 until 2010, for AMD until 2014, and he now works for Google.

Maybe this is why shankly?

Very well could be.. Am trying to find a list now of games for ps3.. But am sure I have seen the logo on the cases a couple times.

WOW!!! I read the write up and watched the vid. My mistake but no need for that. How very rude.

Pro-tip - Use quotes when quoting others and that saves any confusion.

Pro-Tip dont TROLL me and you wont get a reply like that Simple Green Man.

Now go and Jog on somewhere else because I have no time for you..

Well, I was impressed with the planks and how well they reacted to the ball hitting them. Physics can really add to a game for me when done properly and something I would like to see more of.

This shows some very impressive results you can get..

One of many good examples. thanks Shanks. :) In hindsight it might be a good idea to add some good examples to the opening post.

This is another Cryengine work using Bullet Physics, more than one hour spent on this. :D:p;):p

Sorry about the comparisons undertone. thats really not what i want the debate to be about but its hard to find good Game development examples.
