What happend to TV guns

I used to have a NES zapper. Loved duck hunt.

My mate had another type of gun. I cant remember if it was NES or SNES, but it looked much more advanced than the zapper., almost like an RPG. Dammit, what was it called?

Snes Superscope :D

the mole son the moon game was aweomse.
As was the jap robot affair

I had always hoped Point Blank would make a comeback, the ultimate would be if they could somehow utilise 3d tvs and lightguns.

Loved playing Time crisi and Diehard with my light gun for my ps1. i bought a light gun that actually looked like a gun and the top slide even moved when you pulled the trigger.

Not really a constructive post, but I used to LOVE Time Crisis 2 on the PS2!

Had the boxed version with the GunCon 2 (spelt right, or was it just a G-Con??).

Such awesome fun. It's a shame its a genre that died due to the advance of technology. Most genres are improved.

Damn you Moore's Law!! :p

I remember Operation Wolf and Operation Thunderbolt from my arcade days, plus the boxed version of Time Crisis with the gun included was awesome, was it on the PS1?

You can still play all of these at the Arcade club in Bury.

Time crisis, point blank, terminator, op wolf, even the more obscure mechanized attack.

Light gun games just worked so well on the ps1, glad I around at the time to enjoy them. VR pretty much engages you just as well though, maybe one day Namco slaps a pointblank badge on a vr game.
