You're missing the point. Even those of us with properly set up and verified premium accounts, multiple funding sources and an impeccible history are being refused instant transfers on large amounts due to some new form of "automatic security". It has only become apparent recently and would appear to be the result of some new security policy or system being introduced.PayPal, its like Linkin Park, its become 'socially cool' to hate them regardless of how you actually feel about them.
To make instant payments you need a primary and secondary source of funds that can both make instant payments, i.e. credit card, visa debit, bank account. All need the be verified and working. The only time ive ever had to use an eCheque was when my debot card expired and I forgot to change it on my account.
The reason people are seeing this more is becuase I think up until recently you could make an instant payment with only one source. PayPal made it more secure.
If your gonna moan and winge, go send your hundreds of pounds in nice bundles via Royal Mail, just see how much they care when something goes wrong!
I don't hate Paypal. The whole point of it is that it offers an instant funds transfer service. If it doesn't do this, what the hell is the point in using it? In the two weeks it has taken for my funds to clear, I could have sent off a cheque in the post by second class, waited for it to clear and have had the item delivered to me already.
