that almost certainly has some kind of painted finish. But on top of that is a metal support type thingy for doing potatoes on. It might be galvanised or something, but it's definitely not painted.

If it really was that simple... then they wouldn't make the inside of the ovens out of metal

I've even used ours to heat tray containing a ferric chloride etching solution with a copper coated circuit board submerged in it, without ill effects (well other than a few yellow fingers from lifting the board out of the solution...)
