I'm after some help please, I've done something to the pc, and can't figure out what's gone wrong with it.
It boots up and works in windows fine, but it's going very very slow in all games, we're talking 20fps slug fest. Which isn't normal at all.
The problem seemed to happen after I messed with a partition.
My hard disk setup goes like this (drive letter altered as I can't remember them atm)
C:\ WD Raptor 64gb with Windows 7 ultimate 64bit
E:\ Storage drive (500gb)
then, one 1TB drive split into Two different partitions.
F:\ (containing all my apps and games) & G:\ (containing windows 7 beta)
I decided I no longer wanted G:\ as it has no use anymore, so I formatted it with partition magic and resized F:\ to take up the free space and form it back into a 1TB disk.
Could this have damaged something that's causing my system to run very sluggishly like this?
Or is it just a coincidence that this problem has crepped up after I messed with the partition?
I'm very confused right now!
I've reseated the Graphics card & power supply to the card, reinstalled new graphics drivers and checked to ensure that the Direct X is up to date. I've even reinstalled one of the games that was running sluggish to see if it made any difference, but it hasn't.
Thanks in advance, all help greatly appreciated.
