I'm after a new complete machine, I play warcraft and a few FPS's, I only buy a new machine every 2 or 3 years so I need it to be OK for that time period, I accept that near end of life it may be a bit doggy. All the same I'm looking for best bang per buck, so trying to take advantage of the This Week Specials. I'm not interested in overclocking or even opening the machine once it's up and running (do enough messing around like that in work, want a hassle free home life
). I would like it to be reasonably quiet not after silent (though that would be a bonus).
Was tempted to just plump for one of the OCUK full systems but in the end came up with the following spec.
So I've come up with this spec, want to keep the 2 drives if possible one for windows, 1 for apps/data.
Anywhere I can save some cash or get better components for the same money? Or is there a better spec for around the same price? Anywhere I ca save money... do I need a zalman or is the stock cooler ok?
Also after ome advice on LCD displays, worrying about dead/broken pixels, how likely are they these days?
Been a while since I've specced a machine so no doubt some of it is incompatible with some other bit of it
