What have you named your rigs?

  • Elenor (JBOD Server)
  • Trinity (Laptop)
  • Serenity (Desktop)

Mine is just the processor - E6600.

Company I used to work for had the server called "Vetinari", the MD's laptop was "Vimes" and so on.

I got stuck with "Nobbs" :(
 
At my old work place, the computers were based around Star Trek. Different workgroups were like The Federation, Klingon Empire, Cardassian Space. Print servers were named after planets. Print server for Federation was Earth. For the Romulan Empire was Romulus. Normal workstations were named after ships. Enterprise, Voyager, Bird of Prey etc.

It made me giggle :p

Dont know who named our work servers, we have Vulcan1, 2 and 3! persues is one as well.
My house mates called his new quad core PHENOM-PHANTOM or something like that.
Mines just JB-PC

Actually...the family does...but I wasn't involved in the naming process :p

Edit: You also got Trinity and Serenity mixed up! lol!!
