I find dyson's are always a good bet if you're willing to spend a bit of cash, they are truely excellent vacuum's.

- another plus is the fact that it seems to have an attachment for everything - it needed a little assembly when I first got it (nothing major) but after that, everything just kinda clicks into place. Easy to clean too.Sp00n said:We've had a vax for about 6 years as well, only thing i notice about that is how loud it is![]()

squiffy said:No they're not, the motors burnt out often. Seen skiploads of Dysons, had loads come in for repair/skip as well.
We've got a VAX Swift 1600.
the motor was bust so bought one of ebay for £13 and the £200+ vacuum now works perfectly

Had my DC01 for 6+ years now and apart from replacing the filters, occasional belt, the brush & that flappy thing that covers the brush on the bottom its still going strong

Raymond Lin said:We have that, my mum HATES it. She thinks its big, heavy, hard to use, short hose, fiddly with all the cables, and LOUD.
it is loud though but it's powerful, and the attachment hose is abit short. Not hard to use
Plop out cylinder twist top off, remove filter, empty and put back together. Just unravel the cord, switch it on. Women eh? "Cables" you mean "cable"
Much better VC than our other one should've seen dust on the full house clean (did day before with the old one)
