What if? Historical Scenario

Their is no might, Nazi Germany would definatly still be around today and no doubt control a huge part of world.

It is highly unlikely that Nazi Germany would have surviced Hitlers death, be it by his own hand, someone elses or natural causes. Trying to control a huge part of the world by oppression is unrealistic and the wealth of opposition was plain at the time.

The USSR would not have tolerated a Facist Regime for very long, neither would Japan who had no love of Nazi Germany anyway. The US/British alliance was a lot stronger than you seem to think, in fact if not for the Americans Churchill was all for continuing into the USSR to subdue them before they got any stronger.

Japan is on the other side of the planet and would not have posed a credible threat to Germany,Hitler would have been succeded by a young Nazi like Martin Bormann http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Martin_Bormann , I really do not think the U.S.S.R was in a position to do anything about Germany at this or at any time in the near future. Before the invasion by germany iirc they had a 10 year co-operation treaty which I am sure they would not have broken, Given this time Germany would have developed jet fighters and large numbers of tiger tanks, The USSR would be destroyed if they tried to attack Germany after the treaty ended.

True, but they would have probably been drop by Germany on the US. They were already in advance stages of Nuclear weapons development towards the end of the war. They were streets ahead of the rest of the world in military technology.

Would Germany have been able to bomb the US?

You over-estimate the power of the German Warmachine and it's ability to strike at the heartland of the USA.

There is no guarantee that Bormann or any other Nazi would have lived long enough to succede Hitler as he was becoming more unstable by the week and with that becoming far more paranoid, in all likelihood Bormann and his ilk would have been swiftly despatched if Hitler even had a whif that any wished to succcede him even after his death.

You really don't need to wiki people like Bormann either, we can do that if we feel a need, and I doubt many do.

The wehrwacht had no love for the SS or the Gestapo, so I would expect that given Hitlers demise, his cohorts would have swiftly followed along with his creations, and remember the Waffen-SS were under the command of the Wehrmacht and not autonomous like the SS proper. It was also known that Keitel the commander of the Wehrmacht held some antagonism toward Hitler over his treatment of Wilhelm List.

My point being that the German High Command was fractious at best and would not have lasted long after Hitlers death.

I don't think they would ever be able to strike at the USA and achieve a victory, but then I also think the USA would never be able to achieve a victory if they landed in europe. I think if hitler died one of two things would have happened. 1. A smooth sucession with another Nazi Fuhrer, 2. A civil war, SS v Werchmacht ect.

A civil war would have been most likely out of those scenarios, almost certainly ending any Nazi regime in Germany and fracturing the country beyond it's ability to defend itself sufficently from any Allied Forces.

To re-iterate my original point, it is highly improbable that a Nazi Germany or any version of the Third Reich would have outlived Hitler to any degree, I doubt Europe would have been vastly different from as we see it now.

I agree a civil war would have ended Nazi Germany there and then. However I do believe that germany would have outlived hitler. He had hundreds of very capable Nazis who could have succeeded him..

You may well be right, but it is my belief that the ideology that pushed Nazism into power was unique to Hitler and with him gone those Nazi's who shared his ideology in part would have fractured and ultimately collapsed.
