I have a hard choice on my hands.
I had decided to get a Q9450 or a Q9550 but I was let down and can't get them at the price i was expecting to be able to. I do however still have a choice between a QX9650 and a Q9300 on the cheap.
So i have a choice between a Q9300 for £95 or a QX9650 for £285.
£260 is a little more then i was planning on spending... a lot more in fact, and the Q9300 is'nt quite the overclocking powerhouse i was planning on getting.
I'm guessing the Q9300 is going to be a pants clocker with it's piddling mutliplier and it doesn't even have buckets of cache.
Given the fact that i'm getting an amazing deal, is the QX9650 really, really ( forgoing a top notch new graphics card ) good?
