What Internet speed are you using?

NTL cable here. Just been added onto their 20mb trial it seems.

so now running 20Mb/768K. Probably overkill a little!

at home i have broadband free from work (uncapped, unshaped, DSL Max goodness :) ) and be* which is shared with my flatmates, end result is some complex access lists to make sure SIP and other important stuff goes over work DSL and bandwidth eating downloads annoy my flatmates...

work wise, i'm 3 (Gigabit) hops from our juniper edge router in telehouse, unfortunately i've yet to find anywhere that lets me download at anywhere near those speeds...
what speeds do you get at work then?

Very nice! Wish I could get cable. What the hell is fragametation? Does it help you Frag? ;) or is meant to be fragmentation.

Well it's limited by where you're connecting to, there are no test servers that really measure it well, our on network tests give about 650-700 mbps usually, though thats really just a gigabit LAN for all purposes (with a few hops through routers and firewalls). Testing with the speed tests on adslguide etc gives slightly better than 30 mbps, which has to be a limitation on their side really or in the transit....

just goes to show that in general, a connection over 10mbps is almost certainly a waste at the moment as the backbone networks at most consumer ISPs aren't up to it.
