What is an AMD FX 8300 ?

Is this the Bulldozer or Piledriver architecture ? I don't see if for sale on OCUK, but I saw someone using one and I don't recognise it.

It's Piledriver 8 core.
They're just saying 8300 series, it's either an 8320 or an 8350.

IIRC it's a distinct CPU: has a lower clock speed than the 8320 and 8350, as you might expect, but also a lower TDP (95w). Vaguely remember a news article about it. Don't think it was ever really available in the west.

Think it's OEM only. There are some PCs on the bay with it in. USA sellers only, though.

Out of interest, did it draw significantly less power at high clocks, or didn't you measure it?

seems similar, But I found difference between FX-8350s around 40W in load with same settings after OC. SOme chips are better and some worse.
