In football overall terms what would everone say is the best league football in the world.

For me its the english league as I find it the most exciting, team for team also the best whats everyone elses threat

Premier League or the Bundesliga (sp?) for me, closely followed by Serie A.

I don't rate La Liga that highly, seems to be 3 great teams and a host of pretty naff ones.

The BPL appears to be the most balanced one as a host of different teams can potentially win it each year, most of the other leagues seem to be biased towards 2 or 3 teams that have a realistic chance of winning them

... Like Manchester United, Chelsea, and Manchester City.

This is going to be horribly biased given how many of us regularly watch the PL, but I would think objectively it's got to be the PL or the Bundesliga. Although the latter has become so unbalanced with Dortmund's demise that perhaps it genuinely is the PL.

La Liga has the stars, but outside of Barca and Madrid it starts to get pretty uninteresting from my perspective.

Actually since 05/06 season;

Premier League: Manchester United (x5), Chelsea (x3), Manchester City (x2) 3 Different winners.
La Liga: Barcelona (x6), Real Madrid (x3), Atlético Madrid (x1). 3 Different Winners.
Bundesliga: FC Bayern Munich (x6), Borussia Dortmund (x2), VfB Stuttgart (x1), VfL Wolfsburg (x1) 4 Different Winners.
Serie A: Internazionale (x5), Milan (x1), Juventus (x4) 3 Different Winners.

So the entire line about 'host of different teams can potentially win it each year' is rubbish. It is the same teams dominating their domestic leagues across Europe.

And Liverpool, and Arsenal and Spurs.. Each could realistically win if they had a good season which with their squads is definitely possible.

Yet they do not, if your aunty had a **** she would be your uncle.

They do not win it though, the English league is dominated by the two Manchester Clubs (Manchester United, and Manchester City) and Chelsea.

Agree that the BPL is dominated by top 3-4 clubs nowadays, however it is much closer than the other leagues. You can't really predict the top 4 as of yet, however I can already guarantee you Bayern will win their league by a mile, Juve will dominate again (after their slow start) and Barca / Real will be ahead by a country mile with Barca winning it.

Looking at least season.

EPL we had 4-5 teams that could have won it till very near the end. The winning team scored about 2 goals a game and conceded about 0.8 goals a game.

La Liga 3rd place was 14 pts behind 2nd place. The top team scored nearly an average of 3 goals a game and conceded just over a goal every two games.

I would rather watch a league that throws up more interesting results and where top teams are beaten by the minnows. ( naturally a good time to be a United fan ;) )

I get my fix of the top teams in europe via the CL but I would rather watch the PL than La Liga week in week out.

Just because they don't win it does not mean it isn't close.. Look at how close Liverpool came in 2013/14. Sure, they don't actually win it but it's a lot closer than the top leagues in other countries.

That has little actually outcome on the winners though, so what it is a close run title race. Manchester United, Manchester City and Chelsea have dominated English football for the last 10 seasons. Disagree, I have posted results of the last 10 seasons.

The majority of European leagues are dominated by two or three clubs. They could all be close run title races, but that does not effect the winner, nor the facts.

It's a conveniently selective presentation of the facts, imo - you've oversimplified it. Eg. I think it's worth considering Bayern's recent dominance, and that it'll likely continue given their financial dominance (and the relationship between spending and success). It'd also be worth looking at margins of victory/if there was good competition all the way through etc (eg. Inter winning when Juve disappeared, Juve winning at a canter for the last couple of years, etc - it's boring if a team wins easily, even though different teams win if that makes sense). Etc.

Actually, for what it is worth, I agree. However, I cannot be bothered to go in to that much detail.

Though, that was not the point that was being made, this claim was made;

As I showed, there are a handful of clubs over the last ten seasons that have won their leagues (around the leagues in Europe), and as I showed that the majority of European leagues are dominated by the same 2-3 clubs. Similar to England, despite this rubbish about 'a host of different teams'.

Yes, but despite all these sides coming close, they have no upset the domination of Manchester United, Manchester City, and Chelsea.

They did not though, and that was the point. Despite these clubs 'running' close, the same domination still occurred.

Yes. As I said, if your Aunty had a **** she would be your uncle. It is all hypothetical.

The domination of the Premier League has come under threat, but has not being disrupted.

There are 20 clubs that can 'potentially' win the Premier League. two or three do, and that has not changed for 10 seasons.

People need to stop swallowing the Sky money shots, It's the richest league in the world, competitive but not the 'best'.

Spain, Germany, and then England at least according to UEFA.

If you want to take it to the that ridiculously pedantic extreme. But there's the realistic potential winners (eg. Liverpool and Arsenal, who have each been two points away/weren't ridiculous outside shouts like saying Burnley were potential winners last season).

Who yet, in 10 seasons have not disturbed the trio of teams which do dominate the League :).

Anyway, you bore me.
