What is best league in the world

In footballing terms you'd have to say the top end teams in La Liga or Bundesliga, the Premier League is far better balanced top to bottom and more entertaining though.

My favourite league happens to be the Championship but even that is becoming lopsided with the yo-yo clubs and all of the parachute payments. League One is a good little league if you aren't a snob. :p

It's the quality of all the matches throughout the season that matter in this case. How many teams have won the league in X number of years is no way to judge how good a league is, how many good matches you can see throughout the year no matter the opposition is.

La Liga easily betters the EPL, while the EPL might seem more competitive that's only because there is no elite teams. None of them compare well with a Bayern in Germany or the duo of Barca & Real in Spain.

This year I hope City takes up that mantle as they've done well so far, remains to be seen how well they do in Europe though.

Looking at least season.

EPL we had 4-5 teams that could have won it till very near the end. The winning team scored about 2 goals a game and conceded about 0.8 goals a game.

La Liga 3rd place was 14 pts behind 2nd place. The top team scored nearly an average of 3 goals a game and conceded just over a goal every two games.

I would rather watch a league that throws up more interesting results and where top teams are beaten by the minnows. ( naturally a good time to be a United fan ;) )

I get my fix of the top teams in europe via the CL but I would rather watch the PL than La Liga week in week out.

I'm not really sure what is going on with your memory but last year Chelsea finished 8 points clear after not even trying for the last couple of months as they won it so early. It was closer the year before but the first three teams in La liga finished within 3 points which was even closer than the prem league that season.

If you take the biggest gap from one year and compare it to the smallest gap in the other league you can make it look entirely different which every way around you did it. The reality is some years are stupidly close, some are miles apart.

La Liga games I would say are more often entertaining than Prem league. More of the smaller teams will attack where in the prem league too many of the weaker teams sit back and attack and aren't fluid in attack. I think the league is somewhat coming out of that period a bit, with too many Pulis type managers who stuck 10 behind the ball for years on end.

German league currently has loads of great games, decent amount of goals, a lot of attacking play but so much quality in what they do.

The EPL is just disappointing as **** lately. Chelsea are awful to watch, Utd are frequently awful to watch, Liverpool try to be exciting but still play dire football and without Sterling/Suarez look crap. Spurs are pretty boring to watch outside of the rare game, Southampton have lost their mojo and Arsenal are so god damned disappointing. Even then Arsenal play generally good football they are SO freaking predictable, you know which games they'll screw up. They may be the most frustrating team to watch now because what is wrong is so glaringly obvious and Wenger is so unwilling to fix it.
