What is causing this?

yea more info pls...are u getting any beeps on post? or is it just dead?
Edit: lol you posted a few seconds before me.
1) Take out the memory sticks one at a time, and try booting each time, put them back in.
2) Take out the gfx card, put it back in, try booting.
3) Check everything inside the case that should be spinning is and everything that shouldnt isnt.
4) Report back with cake.

When I had a duff cpu the system would turn on by the power button no problem, but no bios screen, no beeps AND when I held in the power button to shut down it would NOT turn off!
Took out the cpu and did the same thing, turn on the system and no beeps, no bios screen BUT when I held in the power button for 4 seconds the system DID switch off.
If your system does power down then look at other possibilities first.
