What is COD4 like online?

i got the game yesterday for the pc and its awesome i love it tbh i only got the game for multiplayer

COD4's probably the most ive spent playing an online game since the original CS, its just pure awesome. Every map is fun to play, the weapons seem quite balanced and im happy to use any of them, and the gameplay is just damn slick.

Not my thing. I am sticking to the fast and furious UT3 for my adrenaline boost.

i know this is totally off topic but its not worthy of a new thread

in the single player of COD4 right at the end where your in the truck being chased what happens if you shoot down the hind before it blows up the bridge (im an awful shot with an rpg when im not in a moving vehicle)

is there an alt ending ive totally missed, i googled it and nothing came up. just wondering what happens

Far as i know you can't shoot it down as thats part of a scripted sequence, i dont even think ive managed to hit it yet with the rpg, be suprised if hitting it is even possible.

It's absolutely awesome, but only when there's about 16 ppl on servers. The maps simplay aren't big enough for anything more than 8v8. Been lvl55 since end of week of release and am still lurving the game. I hate nade spam p90s and noob tubes, but all of those filthy game spoilers are not the norm in clan scenarios so its all cool.

turning it on on small maps is the clever thing todo :S May be lame, but you have to use dirty tricks if the other people are.

No idea about alt ending, doubt it, thought it was just me who absolutely sucked with rpg, good stuff

you just have to listen out for that tell tale tinkle tinkle sound of a nade being dropped

im more of a last stand guy myself

Fixed Didn't care much for 2 myself as it included the console elements that found their way into 4 on the pc as well.

Theres quite a few custom maps & mods out now including AWE 4 & matmata
(Ranking works with AWE 4)

The custom backlot map is very good too, adds a lot more building you can climb up/onto.

it is impossible to hit it, if you get close to hitting it it just moves.

play hardcore then, 1-2 hit's from many guns and their dead, also for the helies about 1 -1.5 mags from a support gunner will take it down.
