What is considered a decent overclock for an i9 7900X on liquid AIO cooling?

I currently have my system running at 4.4Ghz but I'm wondering if I could push it any further? I have pretty high-end components along with a really good quality power supply.

I'm just not sure what kind of speeds other people have been getting with this CPU? I've never been that good at overclocking so I'm at a total loss here.

I've also just updated the BIOS / UEFI to the latest version to fix the Spectre and Meltdown bugs so that might have an effect on my systems performance.

What sort of temps you getting at stock levels? The i9s are toasty, even for an AIO

Could you recommend some temperature monitoring software? If there was something that just ran in the background and saved the temperature information to a log I could look at later that would be great.

Ok cool. well that seems a bit high for stock. Have you reseated the cooler at all?

I’m annoyed they didn’t solder these cpus. Would be much better.

Not yet, has an EK Block on it and I can't be arsed to semi dismantle the loop to reseat the block. I don't think that's be the issue though although it may be worth a try.

Nothing to lose. Well except everything if you aren’t careful ;)

I have an ek block on mine, in gaming will sit between 45 and 75 depending on the game. As I have one core set to 5 ghz it gets the main workload and backed up by the second one at 4.9ghz. So those cores are normally quite a bit warmer than the others.
