What is everyone's preferred boredom take away munch?

Special Fish Supper, although it’s honestly more hassle getting a takeaway due to how far away it is...delivery is a lottery, hate not knowing when it’s arriving!

The made in store pizzas at Sainsbury’s used to be sourdough, now stonebaked, nowhere near as good. I think the bases just arrive in bulk (frozen) but the stone baked was definitely better!

I'm guessing you mean the sourdough was better?

For me it's definitely Pizza. What's mostly annoying is we have one hell of an Indian takeaway the other side of the river and the deliciousness always wafts over. There's also a Chinese and generic Pizza/Burger place, but it's the Indian which is the best so we have that more than the Pizza.

For consistent deliciousness, pizza.

Even the very best Indian and Chinese takeaways can vary wildly from order to order, in my experience, presumably based on how busy they are.

Chinese takeaway in particular always seems to be a big lottery. When it’s good, it may well be my favourite... but there is nothing worse than a disappointing takeaway.

It varies, we've got an awesome kebab place nearby, partial to a domino's but the quality is variable, our local Chinese and chippy are both good.

The wife would have curry everytime but it tends to come in at double the price of any other option.

I should probably say McDonalds as well just to give the local "my body is a temple, why would you do that to yourself" crowd something to moan about. I'm all about thread inclusivity

Not a chance, the original stonebakes ones are a million times better. So glad they ditched that sourdough rubbish. It was like eating the driest toast and it cut your mouth to shreds. Garbage stuff.

A proper decent fish and chips would be my goto :)

If Calories are no option then a balti mixed naan kebab from Teams Pizza Master, Tasty as **** the naan is the size of a 12" pizza tho haha.
I've managed ALMOST a whole one once lol, so much meat!

As for Pizza's that has been solved by buying an Ooni pizza oven, which I'd whole heartedly recommend :D

Really like a kfc (10 mini fillet bucket) but they're sooo hit and miss, some times oversalted oily mess that make you instantly feel ill, other times superb

TBF in the grand scheme of takeaways McDonalds is probably not the bad as there is a degree of control over what goes into it. Getting a curry is rolling the dice a bit.

I love fast food and have the lard to prove it, however I'm on a diet and have cut back :(

BK whooper and regular fries for 1000 calories is nice (yes I'm one of those people now).

oops, yeah preferred the sourdough

Never tried the original stonebaked...first time I bought an in store pizza from Sainsbury’s was only about a year ago

Yeah, unless you eat the ton of rice and bread with it (at least they come with ours). :p

Just pitta bread comes with ours, i do ask for some garlic mayo aswell so maybe not entirely healthy but its so good!

I can't do chinese food, I love it but it makes me feel very lethargic and heavy headed and my ears start buzzing.

So for those nights after work when you're home with nothing better to do and you cannot be bothered boiling up some noodles, what is your take away dish of choice?

Sorry, I'm having trouble understanding the part in bold... Boil the kettle, fill a pan, put noodles in and dump the water in until they're covered. Leave for about 5 mins and they're ready. Slice some spring onion as a garnish or something, and you can be munching away before everyone else has finished debating whether to go for the mixed starter meal deal or just get three lots of char siu dumplings!!
Of course, you then have the "half hour/forty-five minnit" delivery time to wait... I could do a full fry-up by then and it'd still be hot when people sat down to eat. :p

I used to love pizza, but really gone off that lately, along with all the Chinese stuff and Indian stuff. Burgers are really the go-to and we have some pretty good local ones, so long as you don't fall for all their BS about the sauces. German Doner is also worth a look...
But last night's takeaway was one of the best I've had in a long time - a Cubano Sandwich place. Basically burritos and Cubanos. So simple, so yummy!!
