Stop looking - it's a mkIII Fiesta with a fibreglass body.

You can get specialist insurance on a lot of kit cars that turns out to be very cheap...Often they need to be a second car though.

The solution? Buy a knackered FIAT Panda, cut out the VIN plate, scrap the rest, get it insured for about £2.63 and insure the kit car as a second vehicle for £400.

You also get a year's NCB that way too :)

Insurers at the moment are talking about £300 per year for my one off scratch build, up to 6k miles, fully comp - no claims bonus not available (used on my daily car), and i'm 21

I suggest looking at a different kit car though, those are awful....

Suggest anything that could be used as an only car?

Well i'd say if you are on a budget go with a seven with full wet gear - It'll still be cold as hell in winter though :p

Is there any kit cars that are practical enough for daily use, ie it has a boot and with a soft/hard top. That a 18 year old can drive and get insured on. For roughly £4k.
