What is it about coke...

I used to drink a lot of coke, now i try to mainly drink water, I do prefer proper coke if i am having it with a spirit but i can tell these days when i have drunk it, my mouth feels terrible

That's me in the middle. My teeth are still quite white too, but I have a **** load of fillings :(

The coke is why you have loads of fillings, im 29 and have 1. (and yes I drink coke but nowhere near the amount you are drinking, and its always diet coke)

No, but only because I watch what I eat and try to keep active. If I didn't I'd probably put on weight very quickly.

You're going to curse your decision to post that ;)

Why is your mate holding what looks like some sort of... probe?

Squash f.t.w.!

I agree I used to like coke, I didnt drink it that much mind. Now I might have 1 or 2 small glasses a month if that.

Lately though I find I drink a fair amount of squash as I cannot stand drinking water on its own (as wierd as that sounds) I am quite fond of lemon squash :)
Although strawberry squash is quite nice too.

I used to drink a lot of Coke. I now hardly touch it at all and drink sugar free drinks now.

The result is noticable weight loss and when I try it now it is too sickly sweet for me to enjoy as I am used to alternatives.

I drink waaaay too much coke, I had to have 7 fillings last year. It's not worth it.
I'm definitely going to cut down. Probably maybe.

I would like to think I don't drink a lot but I get around 2-3 glasses a day. I've cut it right down, it's absolutely horrible on the teeth.

Try and restrict how much you have a day to save your teeth. :)

I hadn't been to the dentist for about 5 years, went earlier this year and I had to have 10! fillings. Hahahahaha.

Bahaha, yeah probably will regret it. I think it's a glow stick but I can't really remember.

I've never really been into fizzy drinks all that much, I can feel my teeth rotting after the first mouthful. If I'm in the pub I'll usually have an orange juice (which is acidic I know!), very rarely I'll have a small glass of coke with ice and lemon - I can't drink it out of a bottle or can at all.

I do drink squash, but have it reaalllllly weak. My mate will fill up a pint glass literally half way with squash and half water - I have no idea how she can consume something so strong

Boots do a cream soda in their 'Shapers' range which is sugar free and only about 3 calories or something, so every couple of weeks I treat myself to one of those. Yes, you heard right, I'm that rock and roll...

I thought this thread was going to be about the class A, but anyway.

Yes coke is horrible tasting but addictive, I know a lad who drinks about 6 litres a day. I only realy drink it as a mixer, it's not very nice unless mixed with a spirit, even then I have the caffiene free one as i find it the least sickly.

Dude, switch to a sugar-free version, I gather coke zero is actually pretty good?

Diet coke tastes a little different (and if my only choice is 'full-fat' coke or diet coke, I go for that as it's much fresher tasting to me). Not that you'll be able to tell if you're swilling it past a mouthful of food!

At least then you'll know you're not destroying your teeth or liver through sugar intake.

Also, keep confusing your body with sugar overloads and you can end up type II diabetic as your body stops responding to insulin - and then eventually type I when the production of the (ignored) insulin just gives up (grossly simplified and probably scaremongering, but still).

I dont drink much, ill get a 2 litre bottle every so often and that will ast a few days, or when theres a good sale on cans in a supermarket ill get a few and they dont last long. I have dramatically reduced my intake of coke over the past few months as I love squash, which no doubt helps my teeth.

I did have a flat mate who LOVED the stuff though, like loads. He could go through 4 litres a day and 40 330ml cans would last him 2 days, tops. He was mad and generally got quite irritable when he finished :/
