What is it with Mondays?

The worst day of the week, grumpy on a Sunday, because it's Monday and back to work.

It doesn't make sense however, on a Monday it's often the quieter day on the phone lines and also I'm the only person in the office, so the office temperature remains stable, as opposed to Tuesdays and Thursdays when the office is full and it's arctic circle temperature until about 11am the turns to the deep dark reaches of hell and is horrendous. Monday should be the better of the days for me!?!

Does this puzzle anyone else?

My Monday morning is usually dealing with my idiot work colleagues mess from the weekend shift.
So I can predict my mood by seeing who's working the day before. :P

It's summer schedules here in Sweden, almost a skeleton crew and Temps. Worst time to work for surprises and damage control. It's amazing this hospital keeps ticking, I suspect life expectancy is a lot lower if you're admitted this time of year

Makes it interesting tbh lol.

To be perfectly honest, Mondays are a lot easier with this hybrid working setup we have (T/W/T in the office). It's usually a calmer introduction to the week which is nice.

Depends if I’m still on day 2 of a hangover. If it’s been a really heavy Saturday night it’ll linger into Tuesday sometimes :(
And it only gets worse as you get older. I used to be able to sink 5-6 pints of an evening and be fine in the morning.

Now I feel decidedly secondhand in the morning after 4 regular 5% ABV bières in the local bar/bistro which is a whopping 1 litre of lager…

Oh boy, Sunday afternoon around 3-4pm is when the depression sets in for me. Extra bonus points for old school TV programmes playing in the background, say like Last of the Summer Wine or Antiques Roadshow to really hammer in that feeling of despair. I don't know, I really struggle to see the light on a Sunday, always been the same since being a kid in the 80s. Sunday was "Bath night" for school etc.. I blame my parents :D

Yeah as soon the Countryfile or Antiques Roadshow themes start playing you can feel it...

Same, used to hate Mondays but in the last couple of years they've been a lot better. It's much easier overall as it builds up to Wednesday which is typically the busiest day for us then drops off by Friday.

I've always loathed Tuesdays, ever since school.

Double maths, PE then RE broke something in me, now some 25-30 years later I still hate Tuesdays.

In my school they stopped teaching religion in RE, because no one could be arsed to turn up or do the work properly.
