What is it with Mondays?

My Monday morning is usually dealing with my idiot work colleagues mess from the weekend shift.
So I can predict my mood by seeing who's working the day before. :P

It's summer schedules here in Sweden, almost a skeleton crew and Temps. Worst time to work for surprises and damage control. It's amazing this hospital keeps ticking, I suspect life expectancy is a lot lower if you're admitted this time of year

Makes it interesting tbh lol.

I work in a completely different sector but it's the same. I can walk into an absolute cluster of a job that the weekend has made a hash of or a nice job from fresh that I can start myself and plan.

Unfortunately today is the first!

Oh boy, Sunday afternoon around 3-4pm is when the depression sets in for me. Extra bonus points for old school TV programmes playing in the background, say like Last of the Summer Wine or Antiques Roadshow to really hammer in that feeling of despair. I don't know, I really struggle to see the light on a Sunday, always been the same since being a kid in the 80s. Sunday was "Bath night" for school etc.. I blame my parents :D
This! Sunday was bath night for me too in the 80s getting ready for school the next day. On sunday evening Last of the Summer wine used to be on and That's Life, their music reminded me of impending doom (school on monday morning).

Ok I’m the weirdo, I generally like Mondays, most people are in and are relatively productive. It’s Fridays that are irritating, people taking days off last minute doing nothing before scooting off at lunchtime never to be seen again. Very frustrating when trying to get stuff done.

I feel the same. If I start Monday well the rest of the week follows.

I've always loathed Tuesdays, ever since school.

Double maths, PE then RE broke something in me, now some 25-30 years later I still hate Tuesdays.
Tuesdays are worst, here's why:

Monday - refreshed from or still rememebering the weekend
Wednesday - half way through the week
Thursday - Pretty much Friday, finishing up anything that can't wait
Friday - Weekend! Or well near enough.

Tuesday though... forgotten last weekend and feels like the longest time before next weekend... they suck.

Luckily I do shifts so no specific day matters.

100%, it's a limbo day.

I do 4 days 30 hrs so Monday isn't that bad, 1st 3 hours drag sometimes but once the breaks start it flies (3 hrs then break 1hr 40 then break 1 hour 40 then break 40mins home)
4 days is enough for anybody tbh

Tuesday's are the worse. Especially when you see you see it next.

People are probably still getting out of their "weekend state", who knows how they spent their free time. Maybe someone still has their time off. Monday is a hard, but you always make it to Friday. :)

I don't mind a Monday. You expect it. You know it's going to be the start of a new week.

The real scumbag day? Tuesday. That ******* of the week is the true thief of joy. I always find about 1500-1600 on a Tuesday I end up thinking "My lord it's only Tuesday? the weekend is so far away".

Shout out to Thursdays, the unsung hero of the week. Once you've made it there you know there's only one day left.
