What is it with some people

Regardless to the fact that the 20MPH speed limit may to some people seems pointless/inconvenient to your busy Saturday unfortunately I do not intend to get points on my license on account of keeping other motorists happy by breaking the limit as I was doing an indicated 25mph.

Whilst looking in my rear view mirror I could see behind the minicab following me a guy in an Astra weaving obviously peeved that he can not blitz down at his supposed safe speed. I turned off into my road only to be greeted by this pillocks horn verbals & the bird by both him and his equally charming girlfriend.

You try and let it not bother you but you just wanna confront this waste of space and try and gain a logical reason why he believed this behavior is acceptable.

Got to love driving.

It hacks me off too. If there's a 30 limit, I drive at 30, not 32 or 35, 30. This seems to aggravate almost whoever is behind me without fail where I was driving (Essex). They frequently overtake at 45 and express their displeasure at the inconvenience to their pointless escapades. I don't understand why when people get behind a wheel they turn into complete asses whom otherwise might be very polite in walking past me on the pavement if I were going a bit slower than they may like.

This is one of the reasons why I don't miss driving that much at uni. That and my car isn't all that anyway, kind of looking forward to getting a half decent job and a nicer motor. Still, driving on the roads is overrated, I plan to get a track car one day and let rip there!

A blue 306 keeps doing well over 60 past me some days in my town. This is uphill in a 30, usually at night. He's a ******* **** and aparently he did the same to Amanda and the two cars in front of her, one of which was a marked police car which soon dealt with him, not seen him since thankfully.

It's best to forget them. I did a stupid thing once with that 306 and he never learnt his lesson. He'd done it a couple of times and I then found myself with him going past me in the my CTR. I thought it was just that some chav who sees a CTR and thinks "yeah man my cars well faster", but he did the same while I was drivng the SAAB lately. Anyway, as soon as he started to pass me I matched him up the road forcing him the wrong way round a mini roundabout and nearly into some parked cars.

It wasn't worth it, and I just ignore them now and go at my own pace. I'm fully expecting to be at the scene of a flattened pededtrian soon enough, and it won't be the first time :(

are you sure it's a twenty limit rather than a twenty recommended (black ring)
People doing a strict twenty in the recommended limits is really annoying, especially when it's outside a school on a Saturday!

Morons, i was behind a mini cooper the other night she was doing between 25 and 50 mph down a country road, she would slow right down for any corner or on comming car, this went on for 5 miles, i don't usually get roadrage but this woman really really got me going, final straw was when she slammed on the brakes for a corner and slowed from 50mph down to 15, after i stopped swearing i just lent on the horn for 30 seconds, then at the next straight overtook her (whilst she was trying her best to get back upto speed quickly).

Not the best actions perhaps but i just felt that somehow i had to show my rage and what i thought about her attempt to drive at night.

It is on a road with a School. The entrance to the road has one of those illuminated speed signs telling you when you go above 20mph. Followed by a couple of 20MPH in circled in red.

I agree it's pointless, but I do not make the rules, just try and abide by them.

Night's one time it's actually safer to go round country road corners fast, because if there's a car coming the other way you see their lights and have warning..

Not unless you come across a load of people out walking, or an animal, or a parked car.....or any other unlit obstacle.

I know what you're getting at, though...

I've seen a guy walking on the wrong side of a county road (NSL) at 11pm at night in a dark coat with a tescos bag, scared the **** out of me when i spotted him cause i almost ran him down.

May not be worth it in the long run but sometimes these cretins need to be scared into realising what they're doing is stupid. I would probably have been tempted to do something similar given the chance :\

Same with Firestar.. I get so angry when people can't keep a consistent and/or acceptable speed. I just hope they can lip-read ;) And 'take them nice and swiftly if I get the chance

having had people speed up on me while overtaking before, and even matching my speed when i slow down, don't do it.

even if they're driving like a complete ****, just let them get on with their journey to the cemetery. you don't need to be taken with them :)

It's all 30 limits here and I'll only not get tailgated or overtaken if I do between 45 and 50 these days, even if it's wet. It's no wonder two cars have been flipped on my road in the last year. I'll normally just sit at 35 and let them get on with it.
