never really thought about this, i have an i7 950 @3.06ghz.
it never exeeds more than 8% on all cores or 25% on 1.
even though i used cubase and NI Massive and nuendo and all this fancy audio editing software, my pc never struggles. even arkham asylum never exeeds 20+ % on cores.
so it got me thinking. what is a 950 cabable of, what can it do. im not a techie and i LOVE learning something new and interesting. so tell me people, what is my processor capable of. what would make it struggle (inb4 prime 95

can we cure cancer on these chips or is that still upto supercomputers.
how long would it take to rip a bluray and encode to mkv ?
do i need a render farm to create a pixar like 3d animation anymore ?
also can some one describe MIPS and GFlops to me in a simplified way, i kinda gathered its a measurement of how many calcs a second it can do ?
