What is the best bang for the buck Ultrawide Curved Monitor

What do you use the monitor for? For example no point paying a GSync premium if you just plan to watch movies and web browse

I thought the same but after trying GSync, the feel is night and day. It's so much better.

No point buying a new monitor without it if you game.

That is simply not true.. If you are satisfied with the current experience which in this case is without gsync there is simply no need to go out and spent a fortune to get gsync or freesync for that matter. You are stating an opinion based on your own experience after you have been swayed by the tech you so dearly like which makes it a flawed opinion imho cause you never take into consideration how you felt before you even tried gsync. Since gsync carries such a heavy price premium i would strongly argue that it certainly makes sense to consider options without sync tech even if you are gaming.

@OP
I would look at the 34um88c if you are fine with a 60hz panel. It does come with freesync but thats not usable for you anyway. The panel should in 99% of cases even be overclockable to 75hz no matter the brand of gpu. It should be one of the cheapest options out there in this size and resolution.

EDIT: I overlooked the fact that it had to be curved..Why is this btw? anyway the 34uc88 fits the same specs as listed above for the 34um88c but is ofcourse curved and comes outta the box native 75hz. Its worth a look, heard and read of many who are very happy with it. The stand is the only thing that appears to could have been better.

I fully understand mate, I felt the same until I tried GSync. It's just better.

Do you have a SSD? Do you remember that wow factor at how smoother the PC feels? Double it.

You managed to sneak in a reply before my edit went live :p. Anyway, ive had gsync and are currently on a freesync system. I know well of the experience and what good things it can bring. But i also well remember how things were for me before i tried gsync and freesync. I was playing BF3 perfectly fine on my old rusty 120hz 950d from samsung. My point is this. Dont raise your requirements unless you are fully understanding of the fact that its going to cost you big time from then on.

Don't think 34um88c is curved. Also read the 1440p LG's aren't the best for gaming, the 144hz is more suited. It's lower res though 2560x1080.
LGs are perfectly fine for gaming? where did you hear that its not? All the major IPS monitors from acer and asus uses LGs panels. In the end its a preference thing no? if playing a game at 60hz or 75hz is fine with you then its good enough for gaming. But you are right its not curved. You would have to look at the 34uc88 for that which is a tad more expensive but comes with native 75hz support.

i guess the big question here is how much buck are you prepared to pay for your bang?

the best bang for buck screen does depend on how much you are willing to drop

I read input delay/GTG/lag or whatever on the 34" 3440x1440p's isnt as good as the 34" 2650x1080. Plus only half as high refresh.

The only monitor with 3440x1440 specs that i know of that is that dreadful would be the Dell u3415w(uses LG panel), which i have owned. That one was horrible beyond belief. I have never personally heard about LG having any issues with input lag or GTG times in their um67,um68,um88 or uc88s outside of your typical mr knowitall who believes his 1ms rated TN panel is actually 1ms(its not btw). Ive only had 3 different 2560x1080 models so fare from LG but none off them had any input lag/GTG issues and i would have no issue putting my money where my mouth is and buy a um88 or uc88 if i had the cash for it. They are actually 2 of 3 monitors on my wishlist.

Sorry for not replying for so long I am still trying to get the hang of this forum, anyhow I was planning on spending on about 500 quid but I'll probably end up going used instead of brand new to get the most bang for the buck.
