What is the best bang for the buck Ultrawide Curved Monitor

Sorry to hijack the thread but are there any brands you guys would recommend that have the least amount of buikd quality issues (blb and dead pixel)?

Was considering buying some of the gsync 1440p monitors from asus and acer but saw so many bad user reviews.

Also isnt a 1080p ultra wide at 34 inches not poor with image quality?

Don't have screen of that size but really I'd be looking at 100 PPI. I think 34" 1080p is too low- probably better going for 29" UW.

I've got 24" 1920x1200 and I'd want it to be around that pixel density. Even for games, as want to have fine detail in "sniping" Plus with higher resolution, less likely needing to use AA. If AA has a hit on my 24" I don't use it, as it's really not needed.

I never notice tearing in any of my games without gsync/freesync. I am curious just to how different it 'feels' as people say. Guess i will find out when i upgrade this year.

I wouldn't say poor just a little on the chunky size but my BenQ 3501 is 35" and I've been using it a lot more recently as I don't need any scaling, obviously :)

Where switching to an X34 at 34" I tend to have to use some scaling in Explorer/Chrome to see the fine text but that may also be my aging eyes. The BenQ is easy to drive at Ultra in most games and maintains 75 fps+ with a 980 Ti where the X34 needs some settings tweaked and the G-Sync safety net of frame filling/syncing.

I still prefer the X34 but the BenQ was a B grade bargain so hard not to like and keep hold of.

Never personally had issues with 34 inchs of 1440p ultrawide goodness in the scaling department but then again im one of those nutters who would love 3440x1440 in 29 inches as well or a 24 inch 4k except im tired of 16:9. One could look elsewhere for korean 21:9 monitors.. they usually come really cheap. Otherwise i only see LG as offering something cheap enough.

Not really cheap. You've still got import duty, VAT, no warranty, no DSR, and it'll cost a bomb to send back. No way of knowing that retailer will be there in three months.

I think you are being a bit to harsh my friend. Certain sellers has been on that site since forever and i know of certain youtubers such as Wendell who have bought more korean moniters than most others and only had to issues with 2(out of atleast 30-40ish). Considering that there are stories of how people have had to send back 5 or 6 monitors in a row from popular vendors such as Asus or Acer or just live with the various QC issues i think that statistic from Korea is much better overall as long as you apply common sense. But of course i understand the worry and its not perfect 100% of the time from there either but its certainly an option worth considering and there are many forums who have specialized threads on who you can buy from and what monitors are worth the "hassle". Just gotta give those a look.

EDIT: I forgot to mention you do also have paypal to cover your butt incase you get a product not as described and the seller for some reason is not being friendly.

^^^ I was going to mention this route as it's how I bought previous monitors. There's no import tax on Monitors from S Korea due to our the UK trade agreement for example. I won't give more specifics as they are competitors to OCUK.

I'm looking at the curved Samsung UE43KU6500/6100 TVs as a monitor. A little wider than a 35" 21:9 monitor and extra pixels vertically.

Handles 4k @ 60Hz and proper 4:4:4 chroma and costs under £500 a total bargain. More real estate than a 21:9.
