What is the best looking console ever (physically, hardwarewise)

I always like the launch PS4. It looked fairly nice to me, and fitted nicely under my TV and looked the part. The black gamecube was also fairly smart looking and the xbox one s isn't too bad either.
 
I think the dream cast actually looked pretty nice for the time thinking about it. I have the standard white one and it's not yellowed at all yet which is great!

Those game cases though! I don't think I have 1 that isn't either cracked somewhere or the blue spokes that hold the disc in place haven't snapped off. They look nice to me though, feel bulky!
 
Yeah the DC cases were absolutely garbage! Almost felt like they fell apart just opening them. I tend to look after cases and the likes, but they were impossible to keep mint.

I remember buying it with Crazy Taxi and Virtua Tennis, cracking console.
 
I agree, it's probably some variant of the Gamecube + Wavebird. Small, powerful (for the time), well built, ergonomic, bullet-proof.
I loved the Dreamcast as a console but I think the hardware was only average - the base unit was fine but bland-looking & noisy loading some games. The pad was fairly poor ergonomically - the sides needed to be slanted in a bit.
It's too early to really call but I think the switch could be up there. I play it a lot in handheld mode & a lot in docked mode (never really in tabletop mode) & it really doesn't feel signiifcantly compromised in either configuration. Strangely unlike the Dreamcast pad, the joy-cons in grip are very comfortable ven though they don't slant in - maybe the smaller overall size helps.
 
Dreamcast Console - D-Direct Black Special Edition or Code Veronica. I do respect the SNES and the Gamecube but the Dreamcast was the first console where SEGA tried to move the console into the living room.

The Platstation 1 black edition is also a great looking piece of kit.
 
The Xbox One S looks lovely in white, better than my white PS4. Very smart and unobtrusive.

Purple GameCube was one of my personal favorites, such a cool little box.
 
Always had a soft spot for the crystal Xbox, I even removed it's metal plate inside so was even more clear! However as much as I don't use it often the design of Xbox one s is my favourite one overall
 
Xbox one S is my favourite to fit in a cabinet, the original xbox one would be better if it wasn't so huge, but is nice (before they had the matt top).

Generally prior to that they looked more like toys (gamecube, PlayStation,xbox, 360, n64 etc). Gamecube was pretty cool and totally indestructible!
