What is the best possible Card on a 300W PSU?

I have just built up a Shuttle, and I'm running a half height GT220 in there at the moment, but I'd like a more powerful card.

First of all, can anyone tell me what decent half height cards are available, and, secondly, what would be the best possible card available taking into account the wattage and limited room. I'd really like to stay with a single slot card if possible.

The Shuttle website says a GTX280 (which I do have one of) will fit but, ohhh....the heat!

I fitted a GT 240 into a PC with a 280w PSU and it runs fine. I was surprised how capable it is for games as well. Rest of system is an athlon 64 x2 2.6ghz and it scores 7765 in 3dmark06 if that's any use to you. It needs no extra power connectors.
