I've just sold a computer on ebay. I've charged the guy £17 for insured delivery (about £50 cover should do)

Whats the cheapest way going about doing this as I need to buy the box and packaging.

and how am I going to know if the guy gets it. do standard parcels have a recorded service or something?

Ruled out collect + as they only take 50x30x30cm which is stupid.
its a mATX case

Options please guys! I wouldn't mind deviously squeezing a few more quid out of the sale as the auction did not go well (for me)

Thank you!! Much appreciated.

I've had an antec 900 delivered through parcel2go before, don't see the size being a problem here?

You really need to be careful when using collect+. Paypal will side against you as it isn't being delivered to the paypal registered address.

Also can annoy buyers.

No such thing im afraid. Depends on way too many factors! Weigh it on your bathroom scales. Either weigh it directly, or weight yourself holding it, then minus what you weigh.

I'd be worried sending a PC in anything but the original case box with original polystyrene.

Well I'll be putting it in a printer box with a block of polystyrene top and bottom and bubble wrap and some crap like that.

Use the print postage option in your Ebay page and Parcel force can pick it up from you,max weight is 30kg and size won't be a issue for you.The rate is 11.99 for 48hr and 12.99 for 24hr last time i used it.

Ones i've used in the past from things ranging from car gearboxes to fishtanks are...

Parcellink
Parcels2go
Parcelmonkey
Paisley Freight

Pack it all up, get it measured and weighed and use the above sites to get the cheapest price. It can vary between companies depending on what you're sending.

For example, it cost me under £15 to send a 40kg gearbox with parcellink, whereas parcels2go wanted double that and vice versa.

I've just used parcelsplease.co.uk to get an acoustic guitar sent out to me in France, very cheap and trackable.

I did a quote for a 20kg 70cm x 50cm x 30cm box on parcelmonkey and it came to £6.95 + vat for a citylink next day.
