What is the current best phone?

Hardware wise the S24 ultra probably, but hugely overpriced and I'm not a fan of Samsung's UI and apps.

I'm perfectly happy with a pixel 8 pro which cost me a fraction of the price though. Also much prefer the software on the pixel.

Not considered Xiaomi, how does that compare to the S24 Ultra? Because I know the S24 Ultra is a flagship, same as the OnePlus 12 both of which I can get for my budget?

I went with the S24 Ultras in the end, got it for £780 new (810 once I got a case, and screen protector) turned out it was legit, import from UAE or something but i'm pretty happy with it, I get 2days per charge. Screen takes some getting used to with it's size, but i have to say I love the SPen, never thought i'd use it as much as I am
