I'm so confused. Which keyboard do I buy out of all the k70s, there seems to be so many different types I'm so clueless.

^ Helpful.

The RBG ones have all the pretty shiny RGB lights. These are the more expensive ones.

They all differ because of the different switches. Brown/Red/Blue etc.

I don't know the difference between the Rapidfire and LUX though.

Well you can learn all you need to know in the product description.

RGB is just multi-colour, something you can fiddle around with.
LED is just single colour
Cherry Brown/Red/Blue etc etc are just different switches which is someones personal preference.
LUX & RAPIDFIRE as far as I'm aware are just different models, aesthetically different.

So what are the real differences between the Cherry Brown/Red/Blue switches?

Yeah I'd just check a YouTube vid explaining. Short answer, they click differently but it's all down to what works for you.

Rapidfire uses the cherry mx speed switch. It however incorporates some features from the strafe line such as improved lighting controller, strafe style keycaps and USB passthrough.

The LUX boards are basically the K70 RGB and K65 RGB getting the same treatment, so strafe style keycaps, USB passthrough and improved lighting controller.

They keyboard guide has a description of each of the key switches. The MX Speed switches are closely similar the MX Reds, but have a higher actuation point meaning do don't need to press as much to get the key to register.

Might be easier to get somewhere to try them out to see for yourself.

Any suggestions as to where you could get to try out the switches?

I'm sure it says it's 40 or 60% faster than MX Reds, the Speed ones, I'm thinking about getting the TKL, I have the original k70 atm.
