that's the computer im gonna get, and i was wonder, whats the max i can overclock the CPU to, without cause damage, or any negative effects? (im wondering, cause people say my graphics card will cause bottleneck, and can i overclock my CPU enough so it stops the bottleneck, but doesn't negatively affect the performance of the rest of the computer/ damages it.

Depending on the vid of the cpu, and voltage required for a given clockspeed, with good cooling on air, 3.6ghz is possible, if you can keep your temps below 75'c.

I don't think you have to worry about a 3GHz quad bottlenecking a 4870. If you can get a couple extra hundred mhz, which you should be able to, then you are 100% covered.

yes i think 3.4 is quite achievable with the q6600 on air then would have to move to liquid cooling for anything higher but like myself 3.7 is most probably the most you can get out of these

Priming mine at 3.6ghz at the mo on a vcore of 1.4125, temps are maxing out at 69'c on the hottest two cores and 61'c on the other two. I think this chip could maybe go higher but temps under air would be the limiting factor.
