aye you win....black and white?! at what point did you realise??I had one white and one black. Nobody mentioned it but in hindsight maybe they were just being polite
Think I was still half asleep and dark when I put them on.

i'm guessing your work colleagues were keeping a tight eye on you, likely thinking you were in mid stages of some sort of breakdown

Not involving alcohol: Went to a café for some coffee, grabbed a sachet (sugar), only to realise that it was salt. £3 of coffee down the toilet.
Involving alcohol: Having packed lunch in fridge to take out next day. Next day, I can't find it because I had eaten it while I was drunk!

Woke up, went to the fridge to get an egg, cracked it into a glass then pour a can of coke into it and proceeds to drink it…..stopped when I lifted up the glass and wondered what the hell?
Did a trailer changeover at Carnforth truck stop,3 am, started to pull away and wondered why it was mauling, felt heavy, didn’t want to move....
3 miles later, I’m sat on the hard shoulder of the M6 awaiting ATS tyre services, 6 tyres knackered, three burst through flat spotting...
I’d forgotten to knock off the trailer brakes....

It as though, it’s how it’s traditionally drunk. Sometimes with honey too.
Got home about 02.30, nice and oiled, still “having the flavour’, asked my wife if she wanted to join me in one more before we went to bed.
She said yes, so I put 4 or 5 cubes of ice in a glass, filled it halfway with Absolut vodka, then opened a bottle of rosé for her, and got a bottle of tonic water from the fridge for my vodka.
Picking up the rosé, I added it to my vodka by mistake, instead of the tonic.
I didn’t bother trying it, just poured it down the sink.

I've been to a cash point when very tired before, retrieved my card and then walked away without taking the cash, leaving it for the lucky sod behind me before realising.
Frequently go downstairs to get something from the kitchen/utility and then come back upstairs without it after getting distracted "I'll go and bring the washing basket up / oh there's some post come through the door / I'll make myself a drink to take back up / oh dear I forgot the washing".

I did this... with a hemp protein shake (it's stickier and doesn't mix as well) also I did it in the living room, whilst on the laptop... sofa, fireplace, laptop keyboard all covered
I did that too once. In my defence they were the same style of shoe, but one brown one black was my fashion statement and no one noticed.
Also wait till you all get older, these things become the norm...
Yesterday drove to McDonalds for a coffee, deep into a phone call, paid and drove off, no coffee. 10 miles later I realised.
That's grand but he didn't mention he was tired in his first post.
Rooibos is delicious both with and without milk
I find that without is more of a refreshing "wake up" kind of drink, whereas with is more cosy curl up with a book before bed, but it works either way!
