PSU. Going to have to order an upgrade for it tonight as it isn't capable of running all my hardware since my upgrade :(

Pretty much all of it:

Foxconn 760GXK8MC-RS Skt 754
AMD Sempron 3000+ 1.8 Ghz 128Kb cache128Mb
XFX 6200 AGP 8x
512MB DDR PC2700

(in my defence, upgrade in progress)

I have 3 worst parts. My CPU, amount of RAM and graphics card.

My cpu is showing it's age. 1GB RAM holds me back in games, especially now since i have a 20" monitor. My x1800xt is a good card but can't cut it on high settings at 1680*1050.

I tend to spend more on my peripherals/random bits that have no effect on performance and less on components themselves.

I would say my mouse and keyboard. They are worth about £10 in total and rubbish. Doesn't quite go with my 19" ws.

Happy withthe rest, duo 6300, 2gb of ram, 520w corsair, ati x1950, 500gb spinpoint, cooler master case, not super high end but does all i need, happy with the bang for buck.

The mouse here. Problem is I'm using a 4-port Belkin OmniCube which is only happy with a native PS2 mouse so I'm stuck with this antique MS IntelliRat. :(

At the moment my psu. As my Seasonic failed i have now got a spare crappy, pathetic, bloody awful, innefficient, loud Winpower 650w (yeah right) that i had lying around in it's place. As a result and just to be safe(ish) i dropped the cpu down to 2.6ghz and the 8800 GTS down to it's stock speed. The damn thing still draws an extra 127w at the wall compared to my Seasonic.

If it was'nt for that i would have to say my AC 120mm fans. They push a lot of air, but they are so noisey. That's why i stuck them on a controller. They are the next things to be replaced.

Wow, lots of responses...although some of the things people claim to be "the worst" are hardly low end! I forgot to mention I have an old Canon BLC-1000 inkjet printer and am using a Packard Bell keyboard from about 2002! On a side note, back in 2003 I built my dad a computer, and since I had it laying around, I installed a 5 1/4 in disk drive in it. He has a P3 1.8Ghz (which was cutting edge at the time) and a 5 1/4 in disk drive from our first x86 machine, a 486/33 we got in 1994 :P

The worst thing about my PC...hmm. The warm air that flows through it perhaps? I think its reasonable good for an aging system, just been overclocked even more, added a new AGP graphics card, more memory, new case, 2 new hard drives.. :/ The only old bits are the mobo (P4C800-E) and CPU!! lol

It has to be my graphics card. I've slowly been upgrading my system over time and have reached a point where I have a 775dual-vsta, c2d e6300 and 2gb of ddr2-667 all being held back by a woefully poor Radeon 9600LE. It never reaches 10fps at any point during a 3dmark05 run, and flits between 0 and 1 fps in 3dmark06 :p

Luckily I've managed to gather together a reasonable budget so I shall be upgrading it within the next month or so.

My worst component is my 250gb Maxtor Hard drive...scored 3% in fitness & performance tests through speedfan. It also sometimes makes horrendous clicking and grinding noses that cause me to wince and pray that it lasts long enough until I can replace it with a 500gb Western Digital in a few months time when i upgrade to Vista Ultimate x64.

Hard drive for me - Seagate 320GB 7200.10, hardly a crappy drive but its soooo noisy if its quiet in my room and its running a virus scan or something.
