What is this fault called and ASUS rma

What is this strange backlight glow called, it is small but brighter than the surrounding area and was a PITA trying to capture it or film it on a camera (it appears fine on my phone but gets lost when viewed on computer).

And my second question - how hard would it be to RMA it with ASUS? Do they take ages and ask you to pay for all the shipping?

The monitor in question is ASUS TUF Gaming VG27AQ

Looks like a pressure mark. Get it a lot on laptops at work when stupid people point at the screen with pens/pencils or their finger.

Something possibly hit the monitor. Probably wouldnt be covered by RMA as its accidental damage etc.
